City police booked the hotel manager for providing a room on rent to a Muktsar man without getting his identity proof. The Muktsar resident has also been booked in the case. Sanjeev Kumar Dasreja, a resident of Muktsar, and an unidentified manager of hotel Park Plaza, Bhai Bala Chowk, have been booked in the case under Section 188 of the IPC.
Five people including a minor were arrested under the Gujarat Animal Preservation (Amendment) Act for possession of 165kg beef in Ankleshwar town of Bharuch district. The beef was ordered by Darul Uloom trustee and a Maulvi. Weapons, phones, and a two-wheeler were also seized.
