Place North West | Developer hopes for mixed-use Fulwood win

Neil Tague Austringer Capital hopes to create retail, indistrial and flexible office space adjacent to the Fulwood Central retail park, in the northern Preston suburb. The site in question is allocated for employment and is around 8.4 acres and sits to the north of Oliver’s Place It currently houses a large industrial unit currently occupied by Parkinson Haulage, which is relocating to South Ribble. Businesses currently trading from Fulwood Central include Aldo, B&M, ExtraCare, Indigo Sun, Greggs, Costa, Subway and Burger King. As pointed out in Austringer’s application, the full extent of consented space at the scheme has not been built out, suggesting that a further 10,000 sq ft of retail and 15,000 sq ft of leisure could be developed within extant permissions.
