The Guernsey County Land Bank on Wednesday awarded a contract to Lehotay Excavating for demolition of a two-story structure at the corner of Clark Street and Beatty Avenue in Cambridge.
The nearly three-year project to acquire and raze the former residence is expected to be completed in the next month after board member Kim Conrath confirmed the deed is in the name of the land bank. I never thought I would see the day, said Cambridge Mayor Tom Orr.
The demolition contact awarded to Lehotay totals $21,500. It was the lone bid submitted for the project.
