Fairgrounds to host drive-in movies this summer
OLD WASHINGTON Looking for a little entertainment this summer?
The Guernsey County Fairgrounds is slated to host drive-in movies on May 22, June 19 and July 17, as a fundraiser for the county fair.
Senior Fair Board President Brian Winters said the idea came during a brain-storming session last year at the fairgrounds. We were looking around at the fairgrounds and the idea came that we could host drive-in movies this summer, said Winters. We have a wide-open facility with flat ground and permanent restrooms, so we thought why not. It makes sense.
Organizers decided to schedule three dates as a test run for the drive-in movies.
