Lamborghinis and exotic holidays: Inside the high flying lives of the R51bn Africrypt brothers

Durban - Just five months before Ameer Cajee, the 21-year-old chief operating officer of Africrypt wrote to investors to inform them that their crypto-currency firm had been hacked by Ukranians, his holding company bought a Lamborghini Huracan - cash.
The vehicle which was second hand cost R4.75m and was bought from a Durban based motor company, Cruzn Motors through a separate company, Cajee Holdings.
Not content, the Lamborghini was spruced up with the purchase of a R60 000 exhaust and a R300 000 spoiler.
This occurred while Ameer and his 18-year-old brother Raees - who co-owned the company and have since disappeared with over ($3.6bn) R51bn in Bitcoin - still resided at the plush Zimbali Estate, north of Durban.
