State approves $8M in tax breaks for Leominster, Marlborough, Webster business developments

The tax breaks were three of 12 approved Thursday by the Massachusetts Economic Assistance Coordinating Council. In Marlborough, Revance Therapeutics, a California biotechnology company, has proposed a $115-million manufacturing, research and development facility at The Campus at Marlborough, a complex already including the medical device firm Hologic. Revance would lease a new 79,000-square-foot building on the site, creating 76 new jobs. The Marlborough City Council approved in November a 15-year tax break valued at more than $7.5 million. In Leominster, Guardian Angels Senior Services is planning to anchor a revitalized space downtown with 40 new jobs and an investment of nearly $1.5 million. The agency has been approved by Leominster officials for a city tax break valued at nearly $8,500 over five years.
