Felten-Jolley scrolled anxiously, hoping hers would be the first Lodi winery ever to make the list since its inception in 1988. And there at No. 94 was the 2019 Klinker Brick Winery Grenache Blanc, Lodi, 90 points, and this tasting note:
“Yellow apple, bright Bartlett pear and tangerine flavors are pure and lush, set on a medium frame, with crisp acidity. Shows impressive focus and purity of flavor. Fresh finish. Drink now. 750 cases made – MW.”
What a nice early Christmas present and well-deserved recognition for Felten-Jolley, her husband, Stefan Jolley, and her parents, owners Lori and Steve Felten, fifth-generation Lodi wine grape growers who successfully have vertically integrated their farming operation into a national wine brand that exports to nine countries.

Klinker Brick first Lodi winery to make Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines list [The Record, Stockton, Calif]
LODI – Farrah Felten-Jolley checked her cellphone frequently for Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines this year.
Last week, the publication released its picks of the best from around the world. At 9 a.m., the notification came. Felten-Jolley scrolled anxiously, hoping hers would be the first Lodi winery ever to make the list since its inception in 1988. And there at No. 94 was the 2019 Klinker Brick Winery Grenache Blanc, Lodi, 90 points, and this tasting note:

Here in mid-December, the big news out of Lodi wine country is this: the
“Each year since 1988,” you can read in the magazine, “
Wine Spectator has released its Top 100 list, where our editors select the most exciting wines from the thousands we reviewed during the course of the year.”
Klinker Brick’s Grenache Blanc was rated #94 out of the “Top 100.” You may think that this is not so high, but think again: Out of the 100 best wines selected by this magazine in 2020, only 22 of them were grown in the U.S. The rest were from other wine regions around the world. This really means that the world’s most widely read wine magazine believes that Klinker Brick’s latest Grenache Blanc deserves to be ranked as one of the “Top 22” wines out of
