SAULT STE. MARIE, MI – There is danger of oil and gas pollution in Marquette Harbor after a tugboat crashed into the breakwall and then sank.
The tugboat is completely submerged in 26 feet of water just off the breakwall. There is no sheening coming from the vessel, which means a spill is not certain; the maximum pollution potential is 100 gallons of oil and diesel fuel.
