Mayor has a long wish list to share
Cr Chris Raeburn is part of a delegation of mayors from nine regional municipalities that will join Federal Member for Indi Helen Haines at a meeting with the Treasurer.
The meeting was to be held face-to-face, but will now occur online after Victoria was placed in a five-day coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown on Saturday.
Cr Raeburn said a key area of concern for Strathbogie Shire was connectivity – both internet and phone coverage.
“The Ruffy and Strathbogie communities are experiencing significant mobile coverage issues due to a fault at the Mt Wombat tower,” Cr Raeburn said.
During the next nine months Strathbogie Shire Council will be calling for the community to share its thoughts, feedback and advice to develop a Community.

Business recovery support from Strathbogie Shire
Go Nagambie and Euroa Chamber of Business and Commerce will be the recipients of $30,000 each from the economic development funding of Strathbogie Shire Council.
This funding will assist businesses that have struggled as a result of the pandemic and to provide professional services to support their recovery.
It will also be used to provide free membership for 12 months to all registered businesses in the Shire and their surrounding localities.
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Cr Chris Raeburn said this will allow these businesses to seek support and assistance from within their own business community and to encourage business owners to network within their own areas.
