Supervisor farrell has asked to be excused in adivision supervisor kim is ill and unable to attend so can i have a motion to excuse commissioner farrell and commissioner kim . Motion by commissioner cohen, seconded by commissioner compose and do wree need roll call on that or take that without objection. Take without objection. Item number 2 chairs report. This is a information item. Colleagues we have two pieces of good news to share. First i like to coate cal trans and Transportation Authority with public and private sector partners for winning the california transportation award. We had the opening of the new presidio parkway replacing the doil drive with a safe, modern and beautiful facility. I like to applaud the organization for their work and thank for the recognition as we finalize dlinchy of the innovative project. Speaking of invasion, i would like to thank u. S. The reentry pod. The work of the chief within our department in our efforts in sacramento has resulted into this nearly 4. 2 Million Contract by the state for us to attend to the ab 109 realignment population in a way that no other county has, but we expect because of the funding mechanisms on how they have predicated with this program as is already begun in a small way without any funding that we expect other counties to follow suit. This was unofficially nag rated 1 year ago today. But because of the bureaucracy of the state, it has taken us a little bit of time to navigate through those fine lines through state and municipality to get where we are before you. Just one thing i wanted to point out to you is that seven 7 years on the Budget Committee serving on the board of supervisors, the budget information before you is critical to help i think arrive at the decision that is before you. Great, my favorite update, how are you . Fine, thank you very much. We need to buckle down because we have a lot of work to do right now. We do. A lot of the work has been done, so ill make it as easy as possible. February 27th was the final date for introduction of bills and there was something over 1,000 bills so we sifted through them but beyond that, we have six we want to recommend for your consideration to support. Support if amended and we have four that we want
Being asked to be achieved in the program. I think the nonprofit its a has to examine it the division of nonprofit is allowed to do under the legal definitions so were not creating people who are in the business of nonprofit that are taking open stewardship and maintenance programs. I agree with my commissioners on identifying whats been a lack of progress and i strongly encourage the significant amount of time is spent on developing further detail in a much, much boarder engagement of whats effecting this commissioner borden. I think everybody raises great questions. Im not concerned. It reminds me of when we do an area plan each project has to be come before the commission for decisions. I think i feel different because every one of those promotions is being brought to the board of supervisors all the promotions will be related. It seem like you dont need the whole process do clarify the planning code and some basically themes but this is a challenge we run into when we try to pass c
