Ribbon Cutting On Play structures At Rover Park Monday COUNTY News: Los Alamos County Community Services Department is excited to announce that the Rover Park update is completed and the park has reopened. The Rover Park project was one of many projects that the County was working on during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Los Alamos County Community Services Department conducted a community survey at the park and on social media in the summer of 2020, asking the community which play structure, out of a total of four possibilities, they liked the best; votes from children also were accepted. The result from more than 700 votes and what was installed at Rover Park is three vividly colored structures from PlayWell and a swing set.

Princeton Offers Empowerment Program For Girls

The Princeton Empowerment Program aims to encourage girls from various backgrounds to come together in a safe space, talk about important topics, and break down social barriers. The program is aimed at girls in grades 3-6. The program begins July 8 through August 5 and will take place at Grover Park located behind Princeton Shopping Center. Subscribe Girls will learn how to embrace who they are and find their inner strength to spread kindness and empower themselves in a supportive environment among friends and peers.

Rover Park Closing May 10-June 18 To Install Equipment COUNTY News: Los Alamos County Parks Division will be closing the Rover Park play lot, May 10 to June 18, in anticipation of replacing the outdated, current play equipment. Last summer the Parks Division conducted a survey to determine what kind of play structure local residents of all ages would like to see at the park, and the survey results showed that a brightly colored structure by PlayWell was desired. The PlayWell equipment was ordered, starting May 10, the existing play structure equipment and surfacing will be removed, and the contractor work is scheduled to start May 17.
