Cllr Bob Brice is retiring from local politics after 30 years service A long-serving Trowbridge town councillor is to retire from local politics ahead of the May local elections after 30 years of unbroken service. Cllr Bob Brice, lately a councillor for the Grove Ward, has served the town and county in various capacities since being elected in 1991. The former teacher has decided he will not stand for re-election in the upcoming local elections in May. Born and bred in Trowbridge, Mr Brice was first elected as a town councillor for what was then the town’s John of Gaunt Ward. On the same date in May 1991, he was also elected to serve on the West Wiltshire District Council.
