IT WILL BE A 15-BARREL BREWERY AND TAPROOM LOCATED ON THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE ESCRCENT CHEVROLET BUILDING. BIG GROVE BREWERY STARTED IN THE TOWN OF SOLON, AND THEN EXPANDED TO IOWA CI.TY ANOTHER LOCATION IS BEING PLANNED IN CEDAR RAPIDS OPENING IN 2023. AND THIS IS PART OF THE GLOBAL PLAZA THAT WILL SURROUND THE NEW PRO-SOCCER STADIUM. THAT’S PLAN FOR AN AREA JUST SOUTH OF DOWNT

On Tuesday we named Biere de Mac Brew Works’
Fleur de Mac as our No. 1 pick for Beer of the Year. The French/Belgium biere de garde style beer was a collaboration with Mackinac State Historic Parks to to help celebrate the park’s 125th anniversary. It was released in July.

Rake Beer Project s GraveHop, a dark wild saison brewed with blackberry and raspberry was the Readers Pick as Beer of the Year in a Michigan s Best Poll by John Gonzalez and Amy Sherman. Rake Beer Project is located in Muskegon, Michigan. It opened in September of 2019.John Gonzalez

That’s right, Michigan beer drinkers chose Rake Beer Project’s GraveHop as Beer of the Year for 2020 in an MLive Readers’ Poll that Amy Sherman and I posted on Saturday morning.

How do you pick a list of Top 10 beers in a year that was nothing like normal? Typically, I’m checking out new breweries and sampling as many Michigan beers as possible while out and about. What happens when there is no “out and about”?
This year my list is about those “taste memories” my colleague Amy Sherman likes to say shape our decisions of where to eat and what to drink. These were my personal favorites because they made an impression. They captured a moment in time during a year like no other.
