Dot are getting set to brief us on this threeday transportation event to move people fast and efficiently as possible. In the meantime people in this community are bracing for the big event. A papal visit to the National Shrine is expected to create traffic gridlock. Horrific. Reporter pope francis will hold mass around dismissal time for brookland middle school. I leave pretty much early enough in the day, 7 45 to get to work by 9 00. Reporter preps for the mass come with warnings about street closures. Thousands of Ticket Holders are urged to take a bus or train here. I dont know. For transportation in the city, its very hit or miss. Grumpy. We met some commuter whose knew it was happening and landed ahead leaving home earlier than usual. And some were caught off guard. Welcome to the new monday morning commute super bowlstyle. Drivers stuck in the traffic this morning were us terroristed frustrated and late. I am an hour behind. You southbound embarcadero is shut down at walk strength we drove through at 8 15. It took 15 minutes to make the town from embarcadero on to washington. It has been us terroristing frustrating. The super bowl is in santa clara but super bowl city is here if San Francisco in herman plaza. The nfl said it will be a fun interactive experience for fans. Commuters say this is not fun. I dont like it. Wish we could have said no. Im not a sports fans to begin with but it is creating chaos. Parking officers are trying to keep traffic moving and answering a lot of questions. They are frustrated. A lot of people that work in the areas want to know, they are confused and are wondering what is go on.
