For months, the 100 car trains carrying highly volatile fracked crude oil through the city of richmond has been a source of anxiety for the people who live here. But we learned those trains have been stopped in their tracks because of the price of oil. Environmentalists have called them bomb trains. They are full of the same volatile Bakken Crude Oil that is fueling this explosion in West Virginia. They dont plan to have anymore crude coming in until the prices start rising. Reporter terry harris said Kinder Morgan told him, it is no longer feasible to transport the oil by rail. It appeases everyone. Knowing it is not coming into the city. Reporter what harris doesnt find relaxing is what he learned today. The train cars that exploded in the West Virginia derailment are the same cars that had been coming through richmond. They are supposed to have handle the explosion. While morgan waits to see whether Kinder Morgan resumes operations, he is waiting to see if his firefighters are ready to tackle a crude oil disaster. It erupts in a ball of fire.
