BMW Group More Than Doubled Plug-In Car Sales In Q2 2021 Jul 10, 2021 at 6:26pm ET ++ The all-electric car sales almost tripled year-over-year in the first half of the year. The BMW Group reports an outstanding second quarter and first half of 2021 with record global sales volume. Also, the plug-in electric car sales reached new highs. The overall results stand at: BMW: 617,749 (up 43.5%) in Q2 and 1,178,292 (up 39.9%) YTD  MINI: 83,116 (up 52.5%) in Q2 and 157,799 (up 32.6%) YTD  BMW Group Automotive: 702,474 (up 44.6%) in Q2 and 1,339,080 (up 39.1%) YTD The plug-in electric car sales of BMW and MINI brands more than doubled to over 83,000 in the second quarter and over 153,000 in the first half of the year.
