Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) is set to develop two exclusive bus depots in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack for its electric vehicles (EVs). These depots will have dedicated infrastructure such as charging stations and workshops.
BMTC E-FLEET: BMTC, which currently operates 390 electric buses under the Smart City Project and FAME-2 of the central government, has set in motion processes to run 921 more e-buses under the same model by the end of this financial year. It also has plans to induct 320 low-floor AC electric buses. Apart from this, the corporation is contemplating adding 120 electric buses as feeder services to Namma Metro.
