A black bear was shot and killed by Arizona fish and game officers after it entered a home through an open door and injured a teenager in a mountain community near the New Mexico state line, wildlife officials said.
A 15-year-old boy was injured by a black bear in Alpine, located in Apache County.The Arizona Game and Fish Department said the attack occurred as the boy sat inside a cabin. The bear entered through an open door and swiped at him from behind.The bear then proceeded to approach other family members before returning to the victim and swiping him a second time on the arm.
