Rock initially expressed interest in the Conservative party nomination for Durham Riding last year, but now has his eyes set on becoming the first Liberal to represent the riding since Alex Shepherd in 2004.
For two decades years, Rock has lived, worked, volunteered and raised his family in Durham Region. He currently serves as the Ward 3 councillor in Scugog Township, where he represents residents on Scugog Island.
