Grisdale Road in Deane (Picture: Google Maps) A FIRE broke out in a kitchen at a house in Deane this evening after a pan of food was left unattended. A fire engine was sent to Grisdale Road at around 6.40pm where the blaze had been extinguished but the property was filled with smoke. The crew used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke. The fire had not spread from the kitchen and no-one was reported to have been injured. Firefighters were on the scene for around an hour and left at around 7.40pm. After the blaze, the fire service reminded residents to make sure they keep an eye on food they are cooking to avoid incidents such as this case.
