A man has appeared in court after another man suffered head injuries in an assault on Rutland Street at the weekend.
The victim required hospital treatment following the attack which left him lying in the road on Saturday morning.
Police carried out a forensic examination of the scene between Wellington Street and Castle Street.
A 34-year-old has now been charged with grievous bodily harm.
He appeared at Grimsby Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

A man has been charged after a family were allegedly threatened with a knife by an intruder.
Police were called to Haycroft Street in Grimsby in the early hours of Saturday morning.
CCTV footage captured the moment a semi-naked man who appeared to have a weapon was chased away from the house by a group of men.
A 33-year-old has been charged with criminal damage, affray and the use of violence to secure entry to premises.
