Doctors resuscitate man who had cardiac arrest outside Headcorn Surgery while on way to get Covid vaccine  |  Updated: 10:12, 20 January 2021 A doctor says it was part of the job when she and colleagues sprang to action after a man had a cardiac arrest in a GP surgery car park. A man who had collapsed outside Headcorn Surgery, in Grigg Lane, on his way to get the a coronavirus vaccine was resuscitated by doctors in the pouring rain, as bystanders held umbrellas over the group. Headcorn surgery, where a man had a cardiac arrest Dr Karen Potterton, from Headcorn Surgery said: It was part of the job. We just went into automatic. All of us have done hospital jobs, and it s like doing it in hospital, we would resuscitate in a team.

Edward Turner – The Carpenter from Lancaster Renowned for its mint cake and grey limestone buildings, the former Westmorland County town of Kendal, now part of Cumbria, was the location where an Everton talent scout discovered a defender by the name of Edward Turner. Born on 24 February 1874 in Lancaster, he was the second child of John, a cotton spinner, and his wife Mary. The 1881 census finds the family living on Rigg Lane but by 1891 they had moved to Penfold Lane where Edward had begun to learn the Carpentry trade. Around this time, his name briefly appeared playing for the local Skerton club but, by 1896, he was reported to be representing Kendal in the Lancashire Junior Cup against Whiston. This club were also members of the Westmorland FA and played their home matches on a small enclosure known as Maud’s Meadow.
