Like to, at the outset, indicate how i would like to proceed today. I have spoken with the Ranking Member senator thurmond about this what id like to do. I would like to withhold any motions of the outset. And give each of our colleagues an opportunity to make a statement, if they wish to, on the nomination, and i will have a brief statement, and then we will proceed the voting, and i will at that time indicate how i like to proceed.
