Publishing her first book in March 2024, East London-born former English teacher, academic and now author Kara Schultz, 35, couldn’t be happier with her novel’s recent success. Schultz has been awarded a highly coveted Kirkus Star by New York literary review magazine Kirkus Reviews for The Assays of Ata, the first instalment of her fantasy trilogy, The Chronicles of Áitarbith.

Verlinden is the exclusive agent for the New York Film Academy and South African agent of the International Applause Rising Talent Showcase (IArts) Expo. Her team travels the country hosting auditions for aspiring actors, models, dancers and singers.
