The feds and province are kicking in more money to bring clean drinking water to northern Ontario First Nations.
Ottawa is committing $3.7 million while the province is kicking in $908,443 to help Pays Plat and Biigtigong Nishnaabeg (Pic River) upgrade their water systems.
Dave Smith, is Ontario’s Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines.
“Really drinking water is something that all of us really rely on and making sure that we have clean drinking water available to everyone is something that all governments have committed to and it’s great to see that we’re moving forward with this type of a project.”
