Youtheatre s annual Young Heroes of Conscience series has told the stories of people such as Ruby Bridges, Ryan White, Helen Keller, Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr. and Anne Frank. This year s show is going virtual as it honors those names along with a new crop of heroes: the youth of 2020.
Written and directed by Gregory Stieber like previous Young Heroes shows, the new production has vignettes from the previous plays showing those famed characters at points where they decide to use their power, executive and artistic director Todd Espeland says. Interspersed with the scenes will be short interviews with local youth talking about their real experiences during the pandemic.
