DETAILS: San Angelo Man Assaulted Woman During Drive to Abilene
SAN ANGELO, TX – Details surrounding the arrest of San Angeloan Gregory Estes have been released.
According to court reports, on July 28, 2020, a Texas Ranger was contacted by a Sergeant at the Tom Green County Sheriff s Office regarding an incident that occurred on June 17.
The sergeant told the ranger that he had been informed of an attempted sexual assault that occurred while in a moving car.
Estes is accused of taking a woman to Abilene to buy a new car. During the car ride Estes allegedly made innappropriate statements and made explicit comments about her body.
Notorious Predator Back in the Tom Green County Jail Within 48 Hours
SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Man who was arrested Tuesday has been arrested again after more sexual assault crimes where charged against him.
According to jail records, on Jan. 21 at 10:42 a.m., Gregory Estes was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail for indecent assault.
This charge is stemming out of Taylor County. Tuesday he was arrested for sexual crimes against children in Abilene and a sexual assault out of Coleman County. Gregory also has prior sexual assault charges out of Tom Green County.
Tuesday his bond was set at $415,000 and he made bail the same day. Today his bond is set at only $5,000 but remains in the jail as of 2 p.m.
Wanted Child Predator with Checkered Past Arrested in San Angelo
SAN ANGELO, TX – A man who was previously known for preying on women is now being brought up on charges for sexually assaulting children.
According to the court documents, on Jan. 19, Gregory Estes, 56, was arrested in Tom Green County for multiple sexual assault charges.
Estes is no stranger to the Tom Green County Jail. On Dec. 6, 2001 Gregory was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail for attempting to commit a sexual assault. After a year of fighting the case he got the case dismissed.
A year later a Tom Green County grand jury indicted Estes again on the same charges. This time he was found guilty. He pled not guilty but was sentenced to ten years probation. He remained on probation until Sep. 24, 2012.
