Leichhardt loyalists have endured some awful afternoons on the hill in recent years as theyâve watched their side botch all the big games, but the boos were replaced by boisterous bravos as the Tigers handed the Panthers their first loss of the year.
Two months after they were taunted by their fans after an embarrassing effort against the Cowboys, the Tigers claimed their best win in years in front of a heaving crowd that couldnât have been any prouder.
âThe boys definitely spoke about it,â Tigers coach Michael Maguire said of his sideâs lean record at Leichhardt.

Ex-NRL star Michael Jennings has admitted in court that he didnât tell the NRL the full extent of his cocaine use.
The former State of Origin and Test outside back made the revelation in Sydneyâs Downing Centre District Court as he defended himself against allegations he abused and raped his ex-wife during their relationship.
