Changes for Swampscott s restaurant row in motion

Get ready to shake things up this summer. Changes are coming to Swampscott’s restaurant row on Humphrey Street. Two popular spots are closing, several new ones are opening, and one is expanding.
Saying good-bye
Thai Thani, at 408 Humphrey St., will serve its last Mai Tai this month, after being opened for 26 years. Owner Vannarat Boontong is retiring. Diners say they’ll especially miss longtime manager/waitress, Goldie.
“She’s so friendly and effervescent,” said John Hunt, of Marblehead, while waiting for his takeout dinner. “I’ve eaten here for years and years.”
