PLACENTIA, Calif.–An Indiana rubber tooling maker is taking an ownership stake in a similar California company, a move that will allow for expansion.
Roembke Mfg & Design Inc. of Ossian, Ind., is buying into Diversified Manufacturing Technologies Inc. of Placentia to create a new entity called Roembke DMT L.L.C.
The deal keeps current DMT owners Mike Mcmillian and Tim Baber in place and adds Greg Roembke, owner and president of the Indiana firm. We have been in business since 1977, and through the 40-plus years we ve been in business, with growth, we ve accumulated quite a few customers on the West Coast over those years, Roembke said. Over the last five to 10 years, we ve had numerous customers in that area asking us to start something out there or just have a presence on the West Coast to provide easier, direct service.
