Peters said he would decide in the next day or so whether to attempt to resurrect

Moonee Valley might go it alone and create a star-studded Australian Cup equivalent if the Victoria Racing Club refuses to shift its signature summer weight-for-age race.
Moonee Valley Racing Club chief executive Michael Browell said the Valley hoped Racing Victoria might be supportive of the creation of a 2040m race worth $1.5 million-plus that would be run at Moonee Valley a fortnight after the All-Star Mile.
Browell said the race would be “an autumn Cox Plate” and would be a showcase for the new Moonee Valley track, which is due to be up and running in 2025, and a natural progression for All-Star runners.
