We now know where it was coming from. What we dont know is why. Atf investigators have concluded that a gas explosion occurred in the basement of the apartment building. It happened in the meter room similar to the one pictured here. The gasfueled fire destroyed everything above it. At this point in time in the investigation there is no indication that a criminal act occurred. Reporter now the ntsb takes over the investigation to determine how the gas ignited.
