CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Hundreds gathered in Avondale for the annual âRide for Peaceâ car and bike show.
It was âkickstands upâ at 3 p.m. Sunday on the corner of Harvey Ave and MLK Drive.
Organizers say they were driving through crime âhot spotsâ in the city.
The group was escorted around town by local law enforcement officers.
Mayoral candidate Cecil Thomas, who served as a Cincinnati police officer for 27 years, was there in support.

Cincinnati Police are investigating an early morning shooting near a Walnut Hills bar that left three individuals injured.
Police say the shooting happened at 3 a.m. Saturday morning near the Greenwich Bar on Gilbert Avenue.
Three people were taken to a nearby hospital following the shooting but the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.
The area of the shooting was closed off by crime scene tape throughout the morning as officers continued their investigation.
