The No. 3 seeded Westminster College Blue Jays took on the No. 2 seeded Greenville University Panthers in the 2023 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament semi-finals Thursday evening. It would be a back-and-forth game from start to finish, with 26 lead changes and 14 ties total. The game would be tied 79-79 with one second on the clock, and the Blue Jays would have the ball on their side of the court. Olivia Hixon found a wide-open Shelby Kurtz wide open in the corner on an inbound pass, and she would drill a 3 at the buzzer to send the Blue Jays to the conference championship game as they defeated the Panthers 82-79.

Greenville high flying offense is too much for Westminster men s basketball

The Westminster College men s basketball team hosted the Greenville University Panthers on Wednesday night in Fulton. The Panthers got out to a 14-0 lead and ran away with it, winning the game 109-84. The Blue Jays fall to 1-4 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 2-14 overall on the season. The Panthers pick up their first conference win and improve to 1-4 in the SLIAC and 2-14 overall.
