Greensboro city council members want to verify that best practices were followed by the police officers who responded to an alleged assault at the home of City Manager Taiwo Jaiyeoba.
Charlotte’s planning director, Assistant City Manager Taiwo Jaiyeoba, is taking a job as Greensboro’s city manager. It’s a big promotion for Jaiyeoba, but it comes as Charlotte is putting together its unified development ordinance and just a few months after the city passed its 2040 plan something Jaiyeoba played a major role in crafting.
Greensboro will have a new city manager in 2022. Earlier this week, City Council announced that it hired Taiwo (Tai) Jaiyeoba as the next city manager. Jaiyeoba comes to Greensboro from Charlotte where he currently serves in a dual capacity as assistant city manager and director of the Planning, Design and Development Department.
