A FAMILY who watched from a window as their mum died from Covid in a nursing home have told of their fury that government failed to learn from the mistakes of the first wave.
Figures provided to the Dail’s Health Committee show 1,543 people have died from Covid in nursing homes since the pandemic began almost half of all Covid deaths in Ireland.

Some 369 people died in nursing homes from the virus in January alone with more than 4,300 positive cases in homes last month.
