The Recorder - Keeping Score: The sounds of spring

Keeping Score: The sounds of spring Published: 3/12/2021 6:00:22 PM Good morning! This week, I clomped through the mud in my yard, raking leaves and picking up broken branches in the company of Will Flemming and Rob Bradford, who were calling the Red Sox-Braves game for WEEI Radio. Bradford’s voice reminds me of Kevin Ball, the character on “Shameless” who owns a bar called the Alibi. Flemming, however, in no way sounds like Ball’s partner Veronica, not even close. His brother Dave Flemming does the San Francisco Giants radio play-by-play. Both are Stanford graduates, and while Dave was in San Francisco, his brother was calling games in Pawtucket until Tim Neverett left to join the Dodgers broadcast team.
