Washington, April 4: The health and environmental risks of per and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are well recognised, but a recent peer-reviewed study puts into doubt their supposedly stain-fighting properties. The research, which was published in the AATCC Journal of Research, examined the efficacy of PFAS finishings on furniture textiles and discovered that they were ineffective, especially under real-world settings.
