Green River District sees 12 new COVID-19 cases

KENTUCKY (WFIE) - Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear gave a COVID-19 update at 3 p.m.
He is reporting 167 new cases and 11 more deaths.
The positivity rate currently sits at 3.25%.
To date, 1,875,554 people have received at least their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine in Kentucky.
“No matter where you are in the commonwealth, you could get vaccinated tomorrow with a very short drive,” said Gov. Beshear. “We need people to keep getting vaccinated. It’s proven to be incredibly safe and effective.”
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 12,001 Henderson County residents (27%) are fully vaccinated. For Union County, 3,158 residents (22%) are fully vaccinated and 3,294 (26%) Webster County residents are fully vaccinated.
According to data from Kentucky s COVID-19 vaccination dashboard, 13,292 Henderson County residents (29%) have received at least one shot and 1,867,037 unique individuals have received at least one dose of vaccine in Kentucky as of Sunday. For Union County, 3,468 residents (23%) have received at least one shot, while the total is 3,574 (27%) in Webster County.
The CDC considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they ve been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).
26 new COVID-19 cases reported in Green River District

KENTUCKY (WFIE) - On Saturday, the Green River District reported 26 more COVID-19 cases.
Health officials say ten of those newly reported cases are from Daviess County, seven in Henderson County, three in Webster and Union counties, and one in Hancock, McLean and Ohio Counties.
Out of the 21,819 reported COVID-19 cases in the district, health officials say 19,532 people have recovered.
The Muhlenberg County Health Department reported two new COVID-19 cases on Friday.
COVID-19 update: Henderson County reports 7 new cases, no new deaths in surrounding district
HENDERSON, Ky. Of the Green River District s 26 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, seven were in Henderson County Saturday.
Daviess County reported 10, while Union and Webster counties reported three each. Hancock, McLean and Ohio counties each reported one new case of COVID.
The Green River District Health Department reported no new COVID-related deaths Saturday in its seven counties.
The incidence rate, which measures the average daily cases per 100,000 population over the past seven days, decreased slightly to 18 in Henderson County as of Friday afternoon and held the county in the orange or accelerated level.
HENDERSON, Ky. Henderson County recorded 15 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday as reported by the Green River District Health Department.
Overall, the GRDHD reported 41 new cases in its seven-county district on Thursday with 18 of those in Daviess County. Ohio County had five new cases, Union County had two and Webster County one.
The incidence rate, which measures the average daily cases per 100,000 population over the past seven days, rose to 16.7 for Henderson County as of Wednesday afternoon and held the county in the orange or accelerated level. Webster County and Union County were both in the yellow or community spread level at 6.6 and 8.9, respectively.
