Marine industry association SEA-LNG has proposed the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to regulate all greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from shipping, including carbon dioxide (CO2), methane and nitrous oxide on a full lifecycle, well-to-wake, basis.
A consortium including technology group Wärtsilä has secured EU funding to develop solutions minimising methane slip from marine engines, advancing the environmental and climate benefits of LNG as a ship fuel.
