J-Hope, a member of Grammy-nominated South Korean band BTS, has donated 100 million won (Rs. 65,93,631 approx) for children who are in danger of violence in Tanzania, via Seoul-based charity.
On Tuesday, it was reported that the musician made this donation ahead of Children s Day in South Korea on May 5. According to Korean tabloids, J-Hope donated through One Step Center which works towards the prevention of violence against children.
On his birthday in February 2021, he also made a donation of 150 million won (Rs. 98 lakhs approx) to ChildFund Korea to support children with disabilities. In August 2020, J-Hope donated 100 million won (Rs. 65 lakhs approx) to a local charity in South Korea. He wanted to help the children who are suffering from financial difficulties amid the COVID-19 crisis. The rapper is also one of the members of Green Noble Club who ve already donated over 100 million won.

J-Hope, a member of the seven-piece K-pop group BTS, has donated KRW100 million ($90,000) to help children in Africa, it was reported on Tuesday. The same day HYBE Corporation, the powerhouse agency behind BTS, revealed that its first quarter profits had increased by 11% compared with last year.
J-Hope made his donation through Seoul-based ChildFund Korea, one day ahead of the country’s annual Children’s Day public holiday. The Yonhap news agency reported that since 2018, he has provided the charity with KRW700 million ($630,000) “as a member of Green Noble Club, a group of high-value donors of ChildFund Korea.”

K-pop superstars BTS member J-Hope celebrated his 27th birthday on Feb. 18 and to mark the occasion, he donated to help children with disabilities.
Charity organization ChildFund Korea announced that J-Hope made a donation of 150 million won (about $135,600 or P6.55 million) for children with disabilities. The donation will be used for childcare, learning and facility support expenses of children with visual and hearing impairments who are experiencing financial difficulties.
“I heard that the number of vulnerable families is increasing significantly due to the prolonged COVID-19 crisis and especially, support for children with disabilities is urgent. I hope this donation will increase interest in children with disabilities in society,” said J-Hope.

I heard that support for children with disabilities is especially urgent. I hope this donation will raise society’s interest in children with disabilities (via Soompi).”
