Expenditure observer for Ludhiana parliamentary constituency Pankaj Kumar inspects checkpoints laid by static surveillance teams (SST) to ensure strict implementation of model code ahead of elections in Ludhiana. Checkpoints near Clock Tower, Baba Than Singh Chowk, Green Land School, and other areas are inspected to prevent illegal activities like cash, liquor, and consumer goods inducement of voters.

LUDHIANA: The state government has allowed the reopening of schools for all classes from August 2, further relaxing curbs imposed due to outbreak of Covid-19. Schools were opened on Monday by following proper protocol to ensure Covid-appropriate behaviour, according to a notification by the Punjab government. The state government had allowed the reopening of schools for classes X to XII from July 26.
