Sonic the Hedgehog was released shortly before theaters began to close, and the movie proved to be a surprise hit (critically as well as financially). It s no great surprise that Paramount Pictures is now hard at work on a sequel with director Jeff Fowler, and the movie has been dated for April 8th, 2022.Â
