The Trenton Police Department will help 11 children during this year’s Shop with A Cop. Assistant Police Chief Lieutenant Larry Smith reports wish lists were obtained from the Department of Family Services Children’s Division, and shopping was done online due to the pandemic.
Multiple employees helped with purchasing gifts and will help deliver them. Deliveries will start on December 20
th, or the families can pick up gifts at the Law Enforcement Center.
Smith notes donations from the community covered the cost of the items. The police department receives donations, and Green Hills Rural Development keeps track of them. They are not kept in house.
