Driver killed when vehicle strikes rear of school bus, catches fire

(Arkansas Democrat-Gazette) A Boone County man, 24-year-old Christopher Anderson of Harrison, died Wednesday morning when his vehicle struck the rear of a Green Forest School District bus and caught fire. The fire then spread to the school bus. According to a report from the Arkansas State Police, the bus was stopped picking up children on U.S. Highway 62 when the collision occurred at 7:29. A social media post from the school’s superintendent indicates the crash occurred east of Green Forest.

After 48 years serving the people of Carroll County — including the past 22 as circuit clerk, it’s still one of her favorites.
