OTTAWA – Green Party leader Annamie Paul was defiant Wednesday, saying an attempt to force her out as leader was the work of a handful of disaffected party officials making racist and sexist claims.
Paul faced and withstood a vote of non-confidence at a meeting Tuesday night of the party’s federal council, effectively its board of directors. Paul said the attack on her was the work of a handful of councillors, whose terms were coming to an end.
