COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) â The Coldwater Planning Commission approved a special land use permit for the proposed Joyology recreational marijuana retail establishment at 365 North Willowbrook Road on Monday evening but the owner of another proposed marijuana business in the same complex is not happy.
Omar Fakhouri is a co-owner of Green Bronco, LLC which had their special land use permit approved by the Planning Commission last December.
He said in an e-mail addressed to City Planner Dean Walrack that he was concerned about the impact of having multiple retail dispensaries in the same plaza sharing one parking lot.

A ruling in St. Clair County Circuit Court Thursday is “essentially pausing the process” in issuing final marijuana licenses in the city of Port Huron.
Judge Cynthia Lane granted requests for injunctive relief from two marijuana operators Farm Science, LLC, and 1864 US-23, LLC that are suing the city over the process used to review provisional license applications earlier this year.
The ruling prevents the city from formally awarding local recreational and medical marijuana permits under the local ballot ordinance OK’d by voters last November. Both plaintiffs allege separate discrepancies with the ordinance, its conflict with state marijuana law, and in how local applications were prioritized.
