Police in nevada say they dont know why a student opened fire at a middle school, it happened in sparks just east of the reno. Dozens of students watched as a teenage gunman shot and killed a popular math teacher and wounded two other students before taking his own life. As Teresa Garcia reports that teacher is being hailed as a hero. Reporter the deadly shooting at a Nevada Middle School was fast, furious and frightening. I saw the people running, i thought that was going to be my last day. He pointed to us and then said, you ruined my life, and im going to ruin yours. Reporter the 13yearold shooter opened fire around 7 15 a. M. , just before classes started on the campus of sparks middle school. A male student came to the school with a semiautomatic handgun.
