希腊政府否认因旅游业重启导致病毒扩散
据统计，希腊经济创收的五分之一依赖于旅游业。今年希腊的旅游季已从5月14日正式重新开放。政府的目标是，希望今年旅游业的收入能达到2019年的一半左右。不过，随着传染性极强的德尔塔毒株在全球持续蔓延，希腊政府在促进旅游业恢复的同时还必须做好防止境外病例输入的措施。根据希腊目前的防疫规定，游客入境希腊时需要提供疫苗接种证明或新冠病毒检测为阴性的报告。
尽管希腊的新增新冠肺炎确诊病例在7月13日再次超3000例，但希腊政府发言人佩洛尼在7月14日接受当地电视台采访时，依然排除了在全国范围内实施新的封锁的可能性。
谈到政府已经宣布将针对医护人员和养老院工作人员进行疫苗的强制接种时，佩洛尼表示，不排除在今后将更多的特定职业群体列为强制接种疫苗的对象。她说
