A father allegedly killed his own three young children inside a home in Round Lake Beach Monday, a county board member said. The man was taken into custody after a police pursuit and crash.
A 41-year-old Wheeling man has been identified as the driver of a dump truck struck by a Metra train south of Route 120 and Hainesville Road Monday morning. Metra officials said the engineer applied the brakes and sounded the train s horn.
